Hello {{Constituent First Name}}!

Can you believe May is already here? April showers really do bring May flowers! What a joy it is to drive up to the center and see an array of colors framing the perimeter of our building. It reminds me that OCWH is a place full of life and vibrancy. That statement has held true this month with new tenants coming on board and community recognition. Read on for the full scoop.

March Highlights:

What an honor it was to not only present at the 2024 Houston Philanthrophy Circle Symposium, but then to also walk away with a $1,000 check as the audience's top pick in the Health & Human Services category was...wow! It was beautifully humbling to see that others see the awesomness that we see, in that which is OCWH! Our Executive Director, Jorge Quiñones, did a great job explaining the history and impact that has been enabled for the 20+ years of our existence.

We are bursting at the seams in our building, so you can imagine our excitement in being able to find a time and room usage scenario that has allowed us to bring on Excelsior Academy as a new on-site tenant partner! That makes it 12 nonproft entities in our building now! Visit excelsiorhouston.com to learn how to enroll your child with a learning disability in tutoring today!

We celebrated a colorful Earth Day!

These gorgeous and vibrantly colored flowers at our center were planted within the last month. They are a prime example of nature bursting with life all around us! "Bursting with life" is the perfect descriptor for our center, so to be able to outwardly have our plant life reflect what goes on inside is just delightful!

Recognizing Our Partners:

May 4th: Palmer Drug Abuse Program (PDAP) PDASH

This year we will RUN WITH THE FORCE for the 6th annual PDASH. Running on theme – or with a full costume – is encouraged!! Funds raised enable prevention and recovery for young people and families from the devastating effects of drug and alcohol abuse.
