Hello {{Constituent First Name}}!
Happy new year!
A friend once said, "Remember, New Year's Day is just another day for your dog." Amusing, yes, but the point here is that you don't need a new year to wake up and decide to find joy or make a difference. Every day is a new chance to live a hightened life. Our hope for you this year is that you will embrace each and every day with fervor, no matter the season.
Carpe diem, Friends!
December Highlights:
The results are in! We are overjoyed to annouce that we surpassed our $7,000 goal and actually brought in $10,000 for our end-of-year campaign. THANK YOU for believing in what we do, essentially enabling the work of the 11 nonprofits housed inside our building!
On December 7th, we were honored to be one of the selected nonprofits to receive a grant from the Energy Corridor Management District at the annual tree lighting! We are forever grateful for the support our community!
A generous donation from the Sugar Land Turkey Trot came our way. The race is a tribute to Coach Andy Stewart from his family and closest friends. Andy started this race in 1986 and it was the original Turkey Trot for the Houston-area. His “Spirit of Giving” carries on through the race. What an honor to help carry on his memory.
Our OCWH board of directors came together this past December to celebrate all of the beautiful things that have happened this year! From welcoming in new nonprofits to the Outreach Center of West Houston family, to new team members and more, it has been a blessed year!
Energy Hill is a reality thanks to the Energy Corridor Disrtict, Commissioner Lesley Briones, Harris County Precinct 4, and Shell USA! It was an honor to be in attendance at the ribbon cutting. Stop by Terry Hershey Park to see the art installation and the furniture made out of up-cycled wind turbines! What a great community addition!
Thanks to all who came out to celebrate a great holiday and our 20 years of housing various nonprofits so hope, healing, and recovery can take place daily in West Houston. Cheers to another 20!
Thanks for your partnership Imagine Group! It is always an honor to bless our wonderful community during the holidays! It's just another reminder of the reason for the season!

Part of a Team
"In the realm of sports, and life, winning and losing are inevitable outcomes. However, the final score is not what determines our worth or defines us as individuals. It is the supportive relationships built with our teammates and coaches, the tenacity developed through practices, and the character shaped by overcoming challenges. For so many children, being a part of something that allows them to discover success is life changing."
