Here we are in the final stretch of 2023! Turkey dinners, holiday parties, and family traditions fill up our calendars pretty quickly now don't they? It's the people in our life that are worth such a schedule though. At OCWH, facilitating such connection for all people is a 365 day commitment. You are all worth it, so thank you for being you, for supporting our mission, and for all that you do in this world!

October Highlights:
We raised over $45,000 for the Outreach Center of West Houston at our 18th Annual "We're Here for You" Golf Tournament. Thank you to everyone for coming out, playing your best, and for your continued support!
Thanks to our friends at the Energy Corridor Management District for being excellent hosts at the Mayoral Candidates Breakfast Forum. What an honor it was to learn about the differrent initiatives that may soon affect our West Houston campus.
Our friends at FinD really blessed us, FamilyPoint Resources, and Nabor House this month. New gravel, gardening, parking lot stripes, playground equipment, painted picnic tables and more were touched up and improved. Thanks for being excellent models of service!
What a joy it was to host Be the Peace, Be the Hope. They empower youth and teachers in at-risk environments by building resilience and inspiring hope through social emotional learning and community development.

Tons of folks have toy-giving on their mind right now, but did you know that blood is needed now more than ever? We urge you to consider a different form of giving this season, so that you may literally save someone's life. Join us November 30th, in the auditorium, from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm.
The reason for the season takes on a whole new meaning when you donate life-saving blood!
Congrats to Two Lives Changed on hosting a gorgeous evening at their Masquerade Ball! All proceeds turn right back around and benefit the young families they serve.

Congrats to PDAP for a great Champions for Recovery breakfast turnout! An inspiring testimony about the power of the work at PDAP was shared.

The Christ Memorial Lutheran Church Meet 'n' treat was a great success! The community came out and had a blast!

Stay tuned for some awesome developments over at Nabor House Community. Thanks to a grant from the Spring Branch-Memorial Rotary Club, the daycare playground will continue its transformation into a more age-appropritate play space. A new tricycle track will be installed in the coming days!
Join Us for GivingTuesday – the Global Day of Giving on Nov 28, 2023
What are you doing on Tuesday, November 28th? That day is GivingTuesday—a global day of giving where people all over the world come together to support their favorite nonprofits.
This year, OCWH is participating in GivingTuesday! Our goal is to raise at least $10,000 towards helping keep our center warm and welcoming for all seeking the resources they need, as well as hope, healing, and human connection —but we’ll only reach that goal through the kindness and generosity of people like you. Will you help?
